Exploring AI, media innovation, and next-gen tools at the Las Vegas Convention Center with Streetz 94.5, Streetz TV & Rolling Out
NAB Show 2025 went all the way up this year, and SOLO was in the mix from April 4- 6 catching the latest tech vibes straight outta Las Vegas. With Streetz 94.5, Streetz TV, and Rolling Out Magazine riding with me, I pulled up to see what the future of content creation and media technology really looks like.
Let’s just say it did not disappoint.
The Pre-Game: Golf Swings & City Lights
Things kicked off Friday with an annual golf outing at the Revere Golf Club, courtesy of GatesAir, a global powerhouse in broadcasting tools for TV and radio. I’ll be honest, I need more practice with my swing, but I had a blast. After that, the weekend started to pick up.
Saturday was smooth: I grabbed my NAB Show credentials, hit a couple workshops, took in some Vegas sights, and popped out for a few night events. Gotta balance the grind with a little vibe, right?
Day 1: AI Is the Future… and the Present
Sunday was officially Day 1 of the NAB Show 2025 Exhibition, and from the moment I stepped into the Las Vegas Convention Center, it was clear: AI intelligence and innovation are at the center of the media world right now. It was overwhelming in the best way—with companies from all over the globe showing off wild advancements.
One of the biggest moments? A powerful fireside chat with Kenya Barris, the mastermind behind Black-ish. He dove deep into storytelling and how AI is already pushing creative boundaries. Not long after, I hit an insightful panel hosted by AWS, where they broke down how generative AI and new cloud management systems are changing the game for both indie creators and major studios.
Tech That’s Changing the Game
Here’s a taste of what I saw:
- Adobe, BlackMagic, Vimeo, Vmix
, Microsoft, and RCS showcasing next-gen AI and content creation tools. - Shure rolled out a new microphone line.
- Hollyland revealed their Lark Max 2 wireless mic with ear monitors. Shoutout to Randall and Travis for the warm welcome and tech talk.
- Hohem caught my eye with the iSteady M7 and MT3 AI gimbals that track movement with just hand gestures. These things are wild—starting around $270 and totally worth watching.
- BV Mobile Apps, repping from Atlanta, pulled up for their first NAB appearance. They build mobile apps without the tech headache and make it possible for individuals and businesses to actually own their digital space.
Why You Should Care About This
Whether you’re a content creator, DJ, podcaster, marketer, or entrepreneur—understanding these tools is your ticket to staying relevant. This is about more than cool gadgets. It’s about learning how to create smarter, distribute faster, and monetize better.
The industry is evolving fast, and if you want to thrive, it’s all about staying ahead. Knowing how to navigate media technology, streamline production, and use mobile broadcasting or AI editing is a must. Now’s the time to level up.
This was just a taste of NAB Show 2025—but the message is clear: get familiar with the tools now, or risk getting left behind. Stay tuned for more content and recaps. Trust me—you’re going to want to see what’s next.
