Two weeks after the U.S. Senate runoffs, Georgia has officially certified the election results.

Jan. 15 was the deadline for all Georgia counties to certify their runoff results. The state had until this Friday to certify the results.

Channel 2 Action News confirmed with Senator-elect Jon Ossoff’s office that Ossoff and Senator-elect Raphael Warnock will be sworn in by Kamala Harris on Wednesday during the Senate session. The senators will be sworn in in alphabetically. It’s unknown at this time which of the two will be the senior senator.

Most of the counties certified their results by last week’s deadline.

Fulton County had to recertify its election results Tuesday morning, according to state officials.

Voting system implementation manager Gabriel Sterling said the county discovered a mistake by not uploading results from two precincts.
