ABC will celebrate the legacy of Chadwick Boseman with a special presentation of “Black Panther” followed by the ABC News Special: Chadwick Boseman – A Tribute for a King.

You can watch “Black Panther” commercial-free starting at 8 p.m. on Channel 2. The ABC special report will air afterwards at 10:20 p.m. followed by WSB Tonight at 11 p.m.

ABC is owned by Disney, which also owns Marvel Studios.

Boseman died Friday night after a four-year fight with colon cancer. He was only 43 years old.

Boseman is most well-known for his role as Black Panther in the Marvel franchise along with his portrayals of Jackie Robinson and James Brown. Several of his movies were filmed here in Georgia, including “42,” “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Black Panther.”

Boseman filmed parts of “Black Panther” here in metro Atlanta, including locations in Midtown and a DeKalb County studio.

While he was filming, he took a special trip to Cobb County to visit a 9-year-old battling cancer. Ian Hopgood and Boseman maintained a close friendship until Hopgood’s passing in 2018.

“Behind the scenes he continued to stay in contact with Ian, so it never stopped, and it stayed all the way up to the day Ian was gone,” former Cobb County Schools paraprofessional Kendrick Love told Channel 2 anchor Justin Wilfon.
