Rest in peace to Gigi and Kobe!
Vanessa Bryant made that big appearance at the Staples Center on Monday (February 24) to convey a moving tribute to her girl Gianna and her better half Kobe.
Vanessa originally talked about her 13-year-old daughter, telling the group that “she always kissed me good night and kissed me good morning. There were a few occasions where I was absolutely tired from being up with Bianka and Capri and thought she had left for school without saying goodbye. I’d text and say, ‘No kiss?’ and Gianna would reply, ‘Mama, you were asleep and I didn’t want to wake you.’ She knew how much her kiss meant to me and kissed me every day.”
Vannessa proceeded to talk about Gianna being her best friend, having an adoration for heating, investing energy with her family and Disney motion pictures. She included, “Her smile was like sunshine. Her smile took up her entire face, like mine. Kobe always said she was me. She had my fire, my personality, and sarcasm. She was tender and loving on she had the best laugh. It was infectious. It was pure and genuine.”
In the wake of lauding Gianna, Vanessa talked about Kobe, expressing, “He was my everything. Kobe loved more than I could express or put into words … we balanced each other out. He would do anything for me.” She added, “Kobe was the MVP of girl dads.” Watch the full interview below.
