HELICOPTERS JOIN SEARCH FOR GEORGIA COLLEGE STUDENT

The Georgia State Patrol’s flight group has joined the search for a missing Georgia college student who was most recently seen on Valentine’s Day.

Anitra Gunn, 23, is a senior agriculture major at Fort Valley State University. She was most recently seen around 11:30 a.m. Friday close to Chestnut Hill Road in Fort Valley. She is 5 feet 7 inches, 165 pounds with dark hair and darker eyes. Police don’t know what she was wearing when she disappeared.

investigators said Gunn’s family, who live in the Atlanta area, reached out to them on Saturday saying they had not been able to reach Gunn for an unusual amount of time.”

Over the weekend, Fort Valley police discovered Gunn’s vehicle with its front bumper detached. Gunn’s dad told our ABC reporter WGXA in Macon that his daughter’s wallet was found in her vehicle and her telephone had additionally been found.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation affirmed to WGXA that GSP groups were out in a helicopter looking through the territory where Gunn disappeared.
