Is Kanye exploiting God for profit?
As we previously reported, Kanye held his Sunday Service segment at Coachella Easter Sunday. The service also featured Teyana Taylor, DMX, Kid Cudi, and Chance the Rapper. While many praised the rapper for bringing his segment to a larger scale, some people felt like he was exploiting the church.
Yeezy had a tent set up with merch labeled ‘Church Clothes’ outside of his set. It was reported that the lines for merch never came to a halt. Jesus Walks socks were retailed at $50, Trust God Tee shirts for $70, and there was also sweatpants and sweatshirts for even more than that. Now, Yeezy has been in hot water before for overpricing his merch however consumers continue to buy into his nonsense. Kanye once said his clothing would be affordable to all but that has yet to happen.
Joe Budden was NOT here for the antics. Joe sent a tweet out reading “From justifying bigotry on your ppl to church merch and Coachella choirs…. God bless us all.” Other people have also expressed their disgust with Kanye’s Sunday Service and how it was all orchestrated. Do you all think that ‘YE is exploiting the church?
