ANOTHER STANDOFF???
A SWAT standoff at a home in southwest Atlanta has come to an end.
Atlanta police said five children were inside a home on Graymont Drive in southwest Atlanta for hours with a man who was believed to be armed.
The SWAT team and negotiators were on scene all morning.
Police said that the man’s girlfriend escaped the house, and the man was refusing to come out.
Police believed he may have had a gun.
One of the children is his, and the other four are his girlfriend’s children, police say. The children range in age from 3 to 10. The children’s grandfather says the man let them out so they could go to school.
Minutes later, family told Jennings that the suspect was out of the house as well. The suspect was taken into police custody.
All five kids and the suspect came out of the home around 7:15 a.m. Monday.
