MR.PERRY IS SET FOR A LONG WALK TO THE BANK!
After over almost two decades in the game most notably as Madea everyone’s favorite relative, as the title character of the “Madea” movies. His closing act which was “A Madea Family Funeral,” the wise charismatic grandmother is going out with a bang. After nearly a dozen films, the final installment in the series, shocking doubters once again shattering box office expectations when it premiered last weekend, a handsome $27 million when it shown at more than 2,000 North American theaters.
“Family Funeral” may not been the most lucrative movie “Madea has starred in, we all know that distinction belongs to “Madea Goes to Jail” ($41 million) but the performance was a rarity especially after so many films. It shows not only a devoted fanbase, but that proves Perry to still be a heavyweight in the game.
