Post Malone performed “Rockstar” without 21 Savage and we have since learned that his camp asked many artists to perform his verse for him in order to show support and no one did. He decided to skip his verse all together and avoid expressing support while onstage, which upset many fans.
21’s manager tweeted and said that the Grammys wouldn’t release his tickets to his mother so that she could attend on his behalf which caused more outrage since his joint song with Post Malone was nominated for an award.
