Sex Trafficking Arrests
Authorities have said investigators in Atlanta have arrested 33 people with sex trafficking charges this week. Officials haven’t given detail on charges but said 33 people have been arrested in the roundup. This will continue over the next few days throughout the weekend also. The FBI said major events like the Big Game commonly bring big-spending travelers and tourists to an area and are often associated with an increase in sex trafficking. Anti-sex trafficking advocates are working to inform the public about the different alarming warning signs, and are urged to notify authorities as soon as possible if they believe someone’s being used.
