A nurse from Kansas City, Missouri was fired from her job at Saint Luke’s Hospital because of posted photos online of her and husband’s she was quickly identified along with her job. There was a man dressed in blackface as JAY-Z and has since been identified as the woman’s husband, Jasmond Heenan. He reportedly has a job with Costco.
St. Luke’s released a statement following the decision to fire Elliott-Heenan, which read, “While it is against Saint Luke’s policy to comment on specific personnel matters, we can confirm that this individual is no longer a Saint Luke’s employee. Saint Luke’s is deeply committed to our culture of diversity and inclusion. It is fundamental to who we are as an organization and we vigorously protect it on behalf of all our patients and employees and expect those who represent us to do the same.”
