This weekend, Halloween opened up with an impressive figure of $77.5 million across 3,920 theaters. It’s the second-best debut of all time for an R-Rated horror film. It also marked the second-best showing of all time for the month of October.
Jamie Lee Curtis returns in her role as Laurie Strode. The flick is a direct sequel to the 1978 classic horror film.
Halloween has earned a CinemaScore of B+ with males making up 53 percent of ticket buyers while 60 percent of the audience was over the age of 25.
