BE PREPARED ATLANTA!

Hurricane Florence, now a Category 3 storm in the Atlantic Ocean, continues to track toward the Southeast and is projected to make landfall in South Carolina and then move north.

Gov. Nathan Deal declared a state of emergency for all of Georgia on Wednesday, citing concerns about high winds and rain.

The National Hurricane Center has issued hurricane and storm surge warnings for parts of South Carolina and North Carolina, where the center of the storm is expected to hit as early as Thursday.

Channel 2 reported a wave near the storm has been reported at 83 feet tall.
