ATLANTA DJ DIAGNOSED WITH COLON CANCER
Two weeks ago, local star DJ Bigg Chris, also known as Chris Aiken, started having bodily pains. He had no idea what the cause was. Like many people in Atlanta, lack of healthcare prevents men and women from getting annual examinations. After finally being examined, the local dj was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer.
DJ Bigg Chris is a regular voice in local radio stations and clubs. Chris used his intelligence and passion for the community, as well as music, to launch a successful career that won him respect and recognition on Atlanta’s competitive music scene. But his family says that his impact exceeds further than what meets the eye. “Chris Aiken became a DJ because he wanted to interact with people in his community”, said by his brother, Charles Aiken. “He has spent the past 7 years motivating and inspiring other people to chase their dreams.” Unfortunately, Aiken and his family struggle to raise funds to give him the treatment he desperately needs.”It’s heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, tough watching your twin brother go through it,” Charles Aiken said. His coworkers haven’t seen him since he was admitted into the hospital two weeks ago for pain. Everyone was shocked to hear he had stage IV colon cancer that had spread to his liver.”He’s like a family member. Chris does not have insurance, and is seeking donations and contributions from the community. Any support is welcome.
