WILL JUDGE GRANT MEEK MILL A NEW TRIAL?
Meek Mill’s attorneys have requested a new trial, but the Philadelphia judge is withholding the ruling. According to the Associated Press, the judge says she’ll rule in “due time”.
The AP Reports:
Mill’s attorneys have asked for a new trial based on credibility issues with an officer who testified at his trial. At least three convictions of other defendants based on that officer’s testimony have been thrown out this year by a different judge.
The hearing lasted for two hours resulting in no decision about the new trial. The judge needs more time to review. Meek Mill’s lawyer Joe Tacopina stated: “We knew justice would not be done today, this is far from over.”
