Founder of Golden Krust commits suicide!Lowell Hawthorne was only 57 years old when he passed away last Saturday.
The Bronx native opened the first Golden Krust store in 1989 on E. Gun Hill Rd. He continued the Jamaican bakery into more than 120 restaurants in nine states.
The Golden Crust employees said their speculations being when Hawthorne’s luxury car, silver Tesla 85D, parked and causing lane traffic.
Although the CEO’S suicide death was a shock his legacy will forever live and Golden Krust will continue to expand! Rest in Peace Lowell.
