WHO WILL BE THE NEXT MAYOR OF ATLANTA!?
It is only a week away from December 5 runoff between city council members Keisha Lance Bottoms and Mary Norwood. As of right now Bottoms is in the lead at 41.5% and Norwood is coming in at 38.7%. The poll is set at 500 registered Atlanta voters. However, there was an survey taking place and it conducted that 20% of Atlanta voters pick undecided. Matthew Tower Jr., Opinion Savvy Managing Partner said, “The undecided factor is enormous for an election just one week away, and there were significant difference between candidate support between the two nights of polling”. Both candidates performed this past week on Monday and Sunday.
It was reported that Bottoms performed well on Sunday and Norwood performed better on Monday. Many people believe the votes has something to do with race and politics as if the republicans and whites are going for Norwood. Bottoms and Norwood have big supporters by their side. Mayor Kasim Reed has been supporting Bottoms for the past couple of months. Norwood also have a big supporter and it happens to be former Mayor of Atlanta Shirley Franklin and former candidate Peter Aman. As Mayor Kasim Reed finish his term one of these ladies will be the next Mayor of the City of Atlanta on December 5.
