Your President!  Details inside…

The Trump administration recently announced that they would be pulling provisional legal residency away from almost 60,000 Haitian immigrants who came to the United States after the 2010 earthquake that hit their home.

This past Monday, the administration announced they would not be renewing the Temporary Protected Status that enabled many Haitians to stay in the United States for over seven years.

Haitian immigrants will be given 18 months to leave, and that the 18-month deadline will make room for an “orderly transition” according to Duke.

The logic behind the move is that it will permit the Haitian citizens to “arrange their departure” and allow the Haitian government to prepare for their arrival. This comes after the Trump administration previously announced they would not be renewing the provisional residency of 2,500 Nicaraguans.
