CUSTOMERS OF SUPPLEMENT NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM THAT LOST FOOD GET SEPTEMBER REIMBURSEMENT … 

In Georgia, 69 counties will be eligible to replace 45 percent of their September’s allotment. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service, these 69 counties were seriously affected by the storm.

The benefit effort allows customers to replace what was purchased with SNAP funds without filling out paperwork to prove their misfortune. SNAP recipients do not need to fill out a Food Loss/Replacement Form. Funds have been replaced and uploaded onto benefit transfer cards.

Here are the eligible counties: Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Baker, Banks, Berrien, Brantley, Brooks, Bryan, Butts, Camden, Candler, Clinch, Coffee, Colquitt, Cook, Crawford, Dawson, Dooly, Echols, Emanuel, Evans, Glascock, Glynn, Greene, Habersham, Hall, Hancock, Irwin, Jackson, Jasper, Jeff Davis, Jenkins, Johnson, Jones, Lanier, Lee, Long, Lowndes, Lumpkin, Macon, McIntosh, Mitchell, Monroe, Morgan, Oglethorpe, Peach, Pickens, Pierce, Pulaski, Putnam, Rockdale, Screven, Stewart, Taliaferro, Tattnall, Telfair, Tift, Towns, Turner, Warren, Washington, Wayne, Webster, Wheeler, White, Wilcox, Wilkes and Worth.

SNAP recipients who may have experienced a loss of food due to Hurricane Irma, but are not currently residing in one of the eligible counties listed above can request a replacement form.
