In 2016 Kelly Rowland along with Frank Gaston set out to find an all American girl group in a reality series called Chasing Destiny. In the end they chose five women; Kristal Smith, Ashly Williams, Brienna DeVlugt, Gabrielle Carreiro and Shyann Roberts, and named the group June’s Diary.
They signed a deal with L.A. Reid‘s record label Epic Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, Inc. The group has supported R. Kelly with his the After Party Tour, The Buffet Tour and 12 Nights of Christmas Tour as an opening act. The also have two single’s “All of us” and “L.A.N.C.E” on Itunes.
Although that seemed to be Kelly Rowland’s main focus a year ago, apparently things have changed and the disconnect between Rowland and her new group came to surface when Gabby called her out via social media for not wishing Shyann a happy birthday.
