Amazon has already been growing online, but now that they have Whole Foods they are truly dominating the retail industry, right behind Wal Mart.
Whole foods is known for their healthy food options, at a really high price, which is why Amazon said their first order of business when it comes to Whole Foods will be to make some food items more affordable.
“Whole Foods Market will offer lower prices starting Monday on a selection of best-selling grocery staples across its stores, with more to come,” a representative for Amazon said in a statement. “Everybody should be able to eat Whole Foods Market quality — we will lower prices without compromising Whole Foods Market’s long-held commitment to the highest standards,” Jeff Wilke, CEO of Amazon Worldwide Consumer, said in a statement.
You will now be able to purchase Whole Foods brand products online through Amazon.com and other Prime platforms which include Prime Now, as well as the same-day delivery service available in some markets.
