CAVS AND WORRIES BREAKS HISTORY!

LeBron and company may not have done enough to help the 2017 NBA Finals meet the expectations fans had heading into the best of 7 series, but according to updates provided by the Nielsen company, Cavs vs. Warriors III is doing numbers none the less.

In fact, Game 1’s television audience of 19.6 million viewers registers at 5% more than the 18.6 million people who tuned in for last year’s Game 1. And the difference in viewership for Game 2 was all the more impressive, with Sunday’s [June 4] 20.1 million viewers topping 2016’s Game 2 numbers by a 13% margin.

That is not bad for a pair of games that had the winning tea dominate by 22 points and 19 points respectively. In fact, they are the best numbers Nielsen has rung up for the NBA Finals in 19 years. Last time a series succeeded the popularity the 2017 Finals are boasting was during the Chicago vs. Utah series that featured Michael Jordan going for his 6th title in 1998.
