Bill Maher apologizes but media doesn’t like it.
Bill Maher appeared for an interview with Republican Sen. Ben Sasse on his HBO show Friday night. The Senate told him “We would like you to work the fields with us.” Bill Maher responds saying “Working the fields? I’m a House N***.” Maher told the audience he was joking, but the backlash on social media was immediate.
Sasse also added his comment saying he wish he’s spoken up to Maher right away and asked him … “Why would you think it’s OK to use that word? The history of the n-word is an attack on universal human dignity … Don’t use it.”
Bill Maher apologized to the public about using the word on his show. His show was not canceled and it continues.
