DAVE CHAPPELE’S COME BACK IS JUST WHAT AMERICA NEEDED

There was plenty of anticipation going into this weekend’s Saturday Night Live. Legendary comedian Dave Chappelle made his return to television for the first time since Chappelle’s Show ended its three-season run in 2006. A week after the United States determined Donald Trump would become the 45th president of the United States. Chappelle’s opening monologue addressed the current political situation and many of 2016’s major trending topics; including riffs on police shootings, mass shootings, the Black Lives Matter movement, and of course the election. Chapelle’s touched alot in his opening monologue, and concluded with Trump’s victory by saying, “I’m going to give him a chance, and we, the historically disenfranchised, demand that he give us one, too. Chappelle revived a bevy of Chappelle’s Show characters — including Tyrone Biggums, Silky Johnson, Chuck Taylor and Lil Jon. There were several rememoriable sketches throughout the show Walking Dead Chappelle’s Show; Election Night; Love and Leslie; Football Party and a few more. A Tribe Called Quest, were the musical guest on the show, who performed “We the People…” and “The Space Program” with Busta Rhymes and Consequence. Check out the best sketch of the night Walking Dead Chappelle’s Show.
