KAMALA HARRIS GIVES PEOPLE HOPE AFTER THE 2016 ELECTION
California voters elected the state’s first new U.S. senator in 24 years, and made history in the process. State Attorney General Kamala Harris won the race with 63 percent of the votes, becoming the first black politician in history to represent California in the Senate.
Kamala Harris is the daughter of immigrants from India and Jamaica, and is now only the second black woman ever elected to the Senate.
