Malik Yusef, who is a former friend and G.O.O.D Music associate of Kanye, is being sued for allegedly forging Kanye’s signature and making millions of dollars off of it. A Korean-based fashion brand known for its eyewear by the name of Gentle Monster claims he scammed the company out of $2.5 million elaborately by forging signatures from Kanye and creating phony invoices. He allegedly even set up a meeting between Kanye and a rep for the brand, making it seem like Ye was on board for the whole thing when Kanye had no clue of the business deal. According to the lawsuit Kanye wasn’t the only celebrity Yusef promised to deliver. He also said Pharelle, Jaden Smith and others would help out with the project. This is not the first time Yusef has used Kanye’s name for his own personal gain, back in February he allegedly forged Kanye’s signature for a deal to perform at Phillip Plein’s NYFW show. The performance didn’t happen but Yusef made off with a ton of money.
