Basketball star turned fashion icon? Angel Reese is out here breaking boundaries — again. The 6’3” Chicago Sky forward just made history as the first professional athlete ever to walk in a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show… and she did it like a boss.
The “Bayou Barbie” hit the runway in true fashion-forward form, rocking a lacy pink floral set, feathery details, and of course — the legendary Victoria’s Secret angel wings. It all went down during the brand’s “Wings Reveal” segment, with Lumidee’s “Never Leave You (Uh Oooh)” blasting as Reese strutted down the catwalk.
“This is destiny,” Reese said in a behind-the-scenes interview. “I walk, sleep, hoop… and I hoop, sleep, walk.”
From March Madness MVP to modeling with VS? Her glow-up is unmatched. 🔥
Fashion Meets Hoops Culture
Stylist to the stars Law Roach (you know him from his work with Zendaya and Celine Dion) coached Reese through the moment — and gave her flowers for how naturally she owned the runway.
This moment isn’t just about fashion. It’s a major cultural move. Reese has been blending sports, style, and unapologetic Black girl confidence since her LSU days — and now she’s carving her own lane in the modeling world.
Victoria’s Secret Rebooted
After a break since 2019, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show made its full comeback this year with a new, more inclusive vibe. Reese’s appearance isn’t just symbolic — it’s a full-on shift in what beauty, power, and femininity can look like.
And let’s be clear: she didn’t just walk — she owned it.
What’s Next for Angel?
Between locking down brand deals, staying active in the WNBA, and now stepping into the high fashion space, Angel Reese is proving she’s more than an athlete — she’s a movement.
The show was streamed on Prime Video, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, making sure the whole world saw her moment.
