No one claimed the Powerball jackpot on Monday, leaving Wednesday’s prize to soar past $1.3 billion.
Still, Georgia players had reason to celebrate. Eleven tickets across the state hit big, each worth $50,000. The lucky slips matched four of the five winning numbers—8, 23, 25, 40, 53—plus the Powerball, 5.
The winners bought their tickets from convenience stores and gas stations scattered from Mineral Bluff to Brunswick, Athens to Dalton. While the billion-dollar prize remains untouched, for these Georgia players, the game already paid off.
