Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially headed down the aisle! The singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end shared the big news on Instagram with a series of photos capturing the moment Travis got down on one knee in a picturesque garden setting. The couple playfully captioned the joint post: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.”
The announcement was set to Swift’s fan-favorite track “So High School” from her Tortured Poets Department album — a fitting choice since the song is famously inspired by their romance.
TMZ reports that the engagement ring features an old mine brilliant cut diamond, designed by jeweler Kindred Lubeck.
From Friendship Bracelet to Forever
Swift and Kelce’s love story began in July 2023, when the NFL star revealed on his New Heights podcast that he had hoped to meet Taylor backstage at her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City. He even made her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it, though the two didn’t connect at the time.
Taylor later described the gesture as something “straight out of a John Hughes movie” during her first guest appearance on the New Heights podcast in 2025.
Their romance went public in September 2023, when Swift showed up at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer for Kelce, marking her very first Chiefs game.
A Year of Shared Spotlights
From that point on, the couple became a fixture at each other’s biggest moments. Taylor was often spotted at Travis’ games — even celebrating on the field after his 2024 Super Bowl win — while Travis returned the support by attending several Eras Tour stops. He even surprised fans on stage at Wembley Stadium during her London show in the summer of 2024.
The two also enjoyed time away from the spotlight, including a romantic getaway to Lake Como, Italy in May 2024. Fans speculated an engagement might happen then, but the couple kept them guessing.
Hinting at “End Game”
Speculation surged earlier this month when Swift made a second appearance on New Heights and allowed Travis and his brother Jason Kelce to help announce her upcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. During that episode, she also opened up about their relationship more than ever before — leaving many fans convinced that a proposal was just around the corner.
Now, those suspicions have been confirmed, and Swifties everywhere are celebrating what feels like the ultimate “end game.”
