Oscar season is nearly upon us! On Tuesday, February 8th, the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences tapped Tracee Ellis Ross and Leslie Jordan to unveil the nominees for the 94th annual Academy Awards, set to air on Sunday, March 27th, live from Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.

The Power of the Dog came out on top this year with an impressive 12 nominations, followed by Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic Dune with 10. Other standout projects this year include Belfast and West Side Story, each of which earned seven nods.

Industry legends Will Smith and Denzel Washington also received their flowers today for their work in King Richard and The Tragedy of Macbeth respectfully. Standing alongside them in the Best Lead Actor category are Javier Bardem for Being the Ricardos, Benedict Cumberbatch for The Power of the Dog, and Andrew Garfield for Tick, Tick… Boom!.

In the Best Original Song nominee list are huge names like Diane Warren, Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O’Connell, Van Morison, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and last, but certainly not least, Beyoncé for her work on “Be Alive” from the aforementioned Will Smith-led project.

Check out the full list of nominees below, and let us know who you think got snubbed this year in the comments.
