Chick-fil-A to limit sauces to customers due to industry-wide shortage

If you want some extra sauce with your Chick-fil-A meal, you may be out of luck for now.

The fast-casual restaurant chain is putting new limits on the number of free sauces customers can get with their orders amid supply chain issues, TODAY reported.

In an email sent to customers and obtained by WTRF, Chick-fil-A will limit customers to one sauce per entrée, two sauces per meal, and three sauces per 30-count nuggets.

“We are actively working to make adjustments to solve this issue quickly and apologize to our Guests for any inconvenience,” the email reads.

Chick-fil-A posted a similar notification on its website, saying: “Due to industry-wide supply chain shortages, some items, like sauces, may be unavailable. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.”

The beloved Chick-fil-A sauces are not the only condiments affected by supply chain shortages amid the pandemic. A ketchup packet shortage has also hit the restaurant industry as manufacturers like Kraft Heinz try to keep up with the surge in demand, CNN reported.
