An all clear has been given after Georgia Gwinnett College was put on lockdown Thursday morning. Police say someone was shot and killed at an apartment complex near campus.
The college initially said the lockdown was due to a “violent threat” on campus and told everyone to lock and barricade their doors.
The shooting happened at the Sugar Mill Apartments. The person was shot in front of one of the buildings, police said.
Police were searching for a black male in a white T-shirt and dirty sweatpants who is “possibly armed and dangerous.”
The victim and the suspect have not been identified.
Georgia Gwinnett College has since given the all clear.
