Police said two men were shot after a large fight broke out at a Buckhead hotel Saturday night.

An off-duty officer who was working at the Intercontinental Hotel on Peachtree Road alerted police to the fight around 11:50 p.m.

When police responded, they found two men with gunshot wounds.

Police learned that a large group of people had gathered for a holiday party when a man walked in and started talking to women at the party. A fight broke out between the man and other partygoers and the man drew a pistol and shot the two men before partygoers subdued him.

The two shooting victims, Mark Neese, 39, and David Williams, 28, were taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Officers with the gun assault team are still investigating. Police said charges are pending.

This is the second shooting at the hotel in just the last few weeks. R&B singer Ann Marie was arrested Dec. 2 after police said she shot a friend in a hotel room. She was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and simple battery.
