Tyler Perry has plans to start up his TV and film production taking advantage of his sprawling 330-acre Atlanta studio, according to TMZ.

Perry doesn’t have a specific time frame when he’ll actually restart his shows, which air on OWN, Nickelodeon and BET (including its streaming service.). Among his series are “The Haves and the Have Nots,” “Young Dylan,” “Ruthless,” “Sistas” and “The Oval.”

The TMZ story outlines that Perry would test all the cast and crew before they could work. Those that are cleared can stay and live at the studio the entire run of the show.

His operations used to be part of Fort McPherson, an Army base. It has 141 usable barracks, 40 habitable historic homes and 30 homes he built that are also livable. Perry could shoot all his shows without ever leaving the studio.

He also has on-site restaurants, a bar, a gym and a hospital set that could be used with on-site medics.

Good call or bad call on Tyler Perry’s behalf?
