Instagram CEO Explains Tory Lanez IG LIVE Shutdown

Tory Lanez was hit with a block button from the Instagram powers that be earlier this week. Now, the CEO of the massive social media platform is shedding light on why exactly the company had to temporarily suspend the Toronto-born rapper’s IG Live capabilities.

During an Instagram Live interview with The Shade Room, IG head honcho Adam Mosseri explained why they had to pull the plug on Lanez’s fun. The answer really isn’t that surprising — it’s the X-rated content that did it. “Quarantine Radio is great, so shout out to Tory Lanez for that,” Mosseri begins. “The lives have been great, the lives with the fans have been great. But you can’t have nudity on Instagram. “That’s part of our community guidelines, it’s part of the rules and we can’t make exceptions. And on a couple of those lives, on two accounts, there was nudity so we had to stop the live.

There’s a short period of time where you can’t go live again. We have to stick to the rules otherwise why do we have them? But generally, big fan of Tory Lanez, big fan of Quarantine Radio. I hope it comes back soon, but no nudity! We can’t have that.” Do you agree with the #Instagram CEO in his call to block #ToryLanez from being able to host his show or do you feel the company is being a little to harsh on putting a hold on the recent success of #QuarantineRadio ? #Streetz945atl #atl #atlanta
