An Atlanta cop as of late surrendered in the midst of an inside examination.

Around about fourteen days after the fact, he purportedly burglarized two individuals at gunpoint in a Cobb County lodging while at the same time wearing his previous office’s uniform and identification.

Justin Mikale Thorne, 22, of Atlanta, was captured Friday on various crimes after he was associated with the supposed equipped theft, Cobb police disclosed to Channel 2 Action News. On Tuesday, a reconnaissance photograph was discharged that seems to show Thorne inside the Comfort Inn and Suites off Windy Hill Road just before the Oct. 17 episode.

In the photograph, he is seen wearing what resembles an Atlanta police uniform, identification, vest, cap, and a firearm. The two exploited people, who are from Arkansas, were burglarized of $800 and an iPhone, police revealed to Channel 2. They were not harmed during the episode.

Atlanta police revealed to AJC.com that Thorne was under scrutiny by the office after he purportedly offered to take cash from a suspect in return for causing an extraordinary warrant “to leave” in late September. When Thorne was drawn closer by inward examiners, he “decided to suddenly leave on October 1,” the office said in an announcement.

He had been with the division since October 2017 and filled in as a watch official in southeast Atlanta.

“The Atlanta Police Department helped Cobb County agents in emphatically recognizing Thorne in the wrongdoings for which he has been captured,” the announcement proceeded. “The charges against him are in supreme clash with our area of expertise’s qualities and the vows that our officials are vowed to maintain.”

Cobb police have not discharged some other data on the Oct. 17 occurrence in light of a continuous examination, Channel 2 revealed.

Thorne deals with indictments of outfitted burglary, imitating an official, exasperated attack and ownership of a gun during the commission of a wrongdoing, Cobb prison records appear. He stays in prison without bond.
