A 10-YEAR-OLD IS CHARGED WITH ASSAULT AFTER A FRIENDLY GAME OF DODGEBALL…READ HERE

On April 29th at Ruth Eriksson Elementary in Canton, Michigan, a game of dodgeball went completely left after a student was hurt. According to a police report, a student was struck in the face during a game of dodgeball by another student, Bryce Lindley.

The child’s mother says her child has a medical condition that makes head injuries especially dangerous. The parent says that her child “sustained facial tissue damage to his face. He had a black eye and a bruised nose.” Lindley’s mother says that her son was suspended from school for one day, but she received a phone call from Wayne County Juvenile Court on Wednesday that her son will be charged with Aggravated Assault.

Lindley’s mother felt that the punishment should have ended with the school suspension. “I couldn’t believe it,” said Cameishi Lindley regarding the charge. Lindley says that neither she nor her son knew about the child’s medical condition, and feels he shouldn’t have been playing a game like that in the first place.
