Jay-Z is set to join the California-based cannabis company Caliva as Chief Brand Strategist upon a new multi-million partnership.
Jay- Z will help the company with creative decisions, outreach efforts, and strategy. Most importantly, Jay-Z will work to improve the representation of previously incarcerated people who are prohibited from the legal weed business.
“Anything I do, I want to do correctly and at the highest level,” Jay-Z statement read. “With all the potential in the cannabis industry, Caliva’s expertise and ethos make them the best partners for this endeavor. We want to create something amazing, have fun in the process, do good, and bring people along the way.”
