Recently, Erykah Badu took to Instagram and revealed that there’s some pressure between her and her ex’s mom, Rickey Smiley’s mom, Carolita Smiley Lester.
She explained that she used to date comedian Rickey Smiley and that the only reason they broke up was that his mom wouldn’t stay out of their business and has an on-sight beef with her.
According to Ms. Badu, Ms. Lester came to her show in Dallas and tried to fight her recently, for the FOURTH time! She even mentioned that she’s beat her three times, but this fourth time, she took an L as his mom hit her in the jaw.
She said that now, every time she gets to her last song on her set, she proceeds to take off her jewelry in preparation to square up with his mom.
Take into account though that Ms. Badu has been labeled as a troll. She likes to poke fun at people on her Instagram. But it’s too early to tell if this is a joke or not.
