WHAT DID THE JUDGE HAVE TO SAY?! On June 26, 2019, at the Leighton Criminal Court Prosecutors turned over the video of the alleged sexual encounter with a teen & R. Kelly in court. Lawrence Flood(Cook County judge) was the judge for his trial on Wednesday and asked prosecutors during the hearing to decide which indictments of the four they would follow through with. R.Kelly is currently facing sex-related charges from four women, one adult and three that were minors at the time. An, of course, he is pleading guilty to all four counts. The Cook County judge has stated himself that at least one of the four indictments should go to court by early next year in 2020. They do not want a repeat of R.Kelly’s 2008 child pornography trial were he was acquitted of all charges mainly due to the trial starting 6 years after he was charged.
