WOULD YOU LISTEN TO THE OBAMAS PODCAST?
Spotify secured a deal with the Obamas’ production company, Higher Ground, to produce podcasts.
Barack said in a press release that they’ve always believed in the value of entertaining, thought-provoking conversations and that they’re excited about Higher Ground Audio because podcasts offer opportunities to foster productive dialogue, make people smile, and make people think. He’s hoping the podcasts brings people closer together.
Their podcasts are expected to welcome a voice and platform for underrepresented people instead of politics. Michelle said their intent is to amplify voices that are too often ignored or silenced altogether, and through Spotify, they will share those stories with the world.
In addition to their new Spotify deal, they’ve also secured a like-agreement with Netflix where their production company will produce television shows and movies for them.
