Meek Mill or Robert Rihmeek Williams has maintained the significant role of a criminal justice advocate after a Philadelphia judge sentenced him for two to four years in prison for minor probation violations in 2017. He’s been trying to get the conviction overturned since prior allegations in 2008 from criminal and gun charges. Despite the charges throughout the years, he believes that his celebrity status has helped him secure his release from prison. “I’m just lucky to have people of power and much influence to stand behind me and speak up.” However, unfortunately, everyone isn’t able to attain Meek’s celebrity status. This inspires Meek Mill to speak out on issues that need to be addressed in regards to the justice system.
