Dame Dash announced that he has plans to turn himself into NYPD custody
Dame has an outstanding warrant for failure to pay child support, but claims to be completely innocent. Dash will reportedly surrender to New York police nearly three years after a family court judge signed a warrant for his arrest. Dame has been accused of owing nearly $400K in back-child support to his exes, Cindy Morales, and his ex-wife, Rachel Roy, with whom he has two daughters with, Ava and Tallulah. According to Dash however, the warrants are absolutely ridiculous. He claims he gives both mothers of his children money regularly. In fact, he alleges that he gifted Morales $150,000 to put down for a home. He also claims that Rachel Roy withdraws payments directly from his share of her clothing company called Rachel Roy Collection, which is co-owned by the two. Dash is currently in the process of trying to buy back the entire company. Even though it seems a bit strange to have waited this long to address the warrants, Dame says it is now conflicting with his travel plans so he must deal with it now rather than later. Dash claims to have proof that he is innocent in this child support case and will turn all evidence over to the police.
“I’ll sit in jail for three or four days or whatever they want me to do. I’m an innocent man. There’s no reason for me not to turn myself in. I’m sick of my name being compromised.” says Dame Dash to reporter.
