ALABAMA TEACHER SUSPENDED FOR RACIAL COMMENT
Alabama teacher, Teddie butcher was put on administrative leave on Monday after using a racial slur in a health and nutrition class at Hoover High School.
Shenia Morrow, whose daughter is a senior at the high school, was playing “Dear Mama” by Tupac Shakur when Butcher told her “Turn the n—– music off, it’s just baffling to me.” Students were usually allowed to play music while working on projects in class.
A parent of a student in the class was told the incident was recorded and posted on Snapchat and Butcher replying that the student was overreacting.
