COCO CLAIMS SHE INITIATED THE BIG BOOTY MOVEMENT! DETAILS INSIDE…

Coco has been receiving backlash since crediting herself as one of the early influencers of big-booty models, in a rant that she posted to Instagram earlier this week, and Deelishis is just one of many who’ve been raising their voices to beg to differ.

“Paved the way? Never,” the former VH1 reality show star told TMZ when presented with the notion that Ice-T’s love is among the pioneers who paved the way for Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj, as she claimed in the post. Deelishis gave kudos to Coco for shouting out Buffy the Body in her post; but says that she left out a whole lot of other heavy-bottomed Black models. Ultimately, the “The Flavor of Love” alum, told TMZ, she is not surprised.

“I don’t necessarily want to make it a Black and white thing but it is what it is,” she said. “That happens a lot of times to African American women. A lot of the things that we do are overshadowed by the other race. It happens like that all the time, and they are given credit for it, they take the credit, they accept the credit and we keep it moving.”

Deelishis went on to name Melissa Ford, Esther Baxter, and Ki Toy Johnson as just a few who ought to be acknowledged. In Coco’s post, she cited herself among a class of models such as Cindy Margolos and actresses like J. Lo and Anna Nicole Smith, who changed the perception of body types in an era when women who looked like Kate Moss was popular.

“I’m proud of what I’ve done. I feel people should know it wasn’t easy..I helped pave the way for thick girls during the skinny genre,” she said. Deelishis says that although she is a Coco fan, the 38-year-old vixen might want to go back and scratch the post and return with a rewrite.
