A jury convicted Jorge Sanders,23, for the murder of 16-year-old Kedarie Johnson of Des Moines, Iowa….
On March 2, 2016 Johnson’s body was found covered in bleach with a plastic bag wrapped around his head in a alley behind a Burlington home. Many believed this to be a hate crime since the teen was gender fluid and identified both as male and female. Jorge Sander is originally from St.Louis but had been in Iowa staying with his cousin Jaron Purham and his pregnant girlfriend at the time of the murder, Johnson backpack was found at the house as well. The two gentleman left Iowa within 48 hours of Johnson murder and went to St.Louis. Purham is being held in a Missouri jail for charges related to his fight with Police during his arrest where also the gun identified as the murder weapon in the case was found in his car.
