This past Saturday, a young lady called the police and reported that she had be sexually assaulted on the tour belonging to St. Louis, Missouri rapper Nelly.
Nelly was arrested in Des Moines, Washington where he had performed at the White River Amphitheater in King County. This was the same location the alleged victim called from at the time the report was made.
Rapper Nelly was arrested and booked later that morning for investigation of rape in the second-degree and released a few hours later without charges being filed.
On top of all the allegations made upon him, the young woman called the district attorney over the case to notify them that she is now being buried on social media by the Missouri rapper.
Nelly’s lawyer spoke with People Magazine stating that the woman’s claims are “a completely fabricated allegation” and they are confident that he will not be charged.
“Our initial investigation clearly establishes this allegation is devoid of credibility and is motivated by greed and vindictiveness,” Nelly’s attorney Scott Rosenblum said in a statement. “I am confident, once this scurrilous accusation is thoroughly investigated, there will be no charges. Nelly is prepared to address and pursue all legal avenues to redress any damage caused by this clearly false allegation.”
