Illinois has honored former President Barack Obama with his own day! Illinois declared ‘Barack Obama Day’ sarting August 4, 2018, which is the same day as the former Presidents birthday!
Governor Rauner stated: “It’s incredibly proud for Illinois that the president came form illinois. I think it’s awesome, and I think we should celebrate it. I don’t think it should be a formal holiday with paid, forced time off, but I think it should be a day of acknowledgment and celebration.”
