Soulja Boy caught a break in his felony gun case and won’t face any jail time. The rapper was investigated after he was showing off his guns on social media. Cops searched his Hollywood Hills home in December and found two firearms. Soulja was facing felony possession of an assault weapon and he was also hit with a misdemeanor charge for receiving stolen property. One of his guns was reported stolen and belonged to a police cruiser.
According to TMZ, the “Crank That” rapper pled not guilty but has now pled no contest. Under the deal, Soulja Boy received 5 years probation and 240 days of community labor. He also has to stay clear of firearms, toy guns included. Soulja can travel outside the country for work, but has to clear in advance with his probation officer.
Hopefully it’s a lesson learned!
