It was no surprise that many celebrities refused to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration, and instead wanted to boycott it. Since the boycott failed and Trump was still set to become the next President of the United States, There was still a performer needed for the inauguration. Grammy Winning Singer Chrisette Michele stepped up and agreed to perform. Ever since the public found out, she’s received extreme blacklash from it. Spike Lee was preparing to have the singer’s music debut in his netflix series, however he immediately dropped it due to her inauguration performance. Not only that, but fans who have bought tickets for her upcoming show where canceling them left and right! Shows were canceled with the reason of “scheduling conflicts”, however everybody knew what the actual issue is.
It seems like Chrisette Michele will never live this down. Be careful with what decision you make!
